Top 5 Firangi Soundtracks of Our Times (Ratings by Gh.Com)
Schindler’s list – Sad soothing cathartic music. Warning: Has the portent power to make you feel terribly melancholic.
Godfather – The music is by Nino Rota. To say that it is absolutely wonderful will be a understatement of this new millennium. Will take you to a great high and then will drop you gradually back to the ground. You’ll love that feeling of floating state.
The Sound of Music – It’s good because of its warmth, exuberance, cushiony comfort as you’ll listen to it. Feeling the music of this soundtrack is like as if everything is safe and good and cozy about the world.
Golden Eye – May be it’s a bit premature to put it in this category. But ignoring it is impossible with Tina Turner song and the eerie aura of mystery, which it gives to the mood.
Titanic - Do we need to give the reasons?

Neighborhood Aunty Attacks
By Mrs. Asha Agarwal

I’m the mother of three teenagers. And I don’t approve of all the junk which is being passed off as music nowadays.

Clearly what can you make out of songs like ‘mein to nashen me talli ho gayan’.

Where have all the lyricists disappeared? And even the music. It is so difficult to understand.

This music mess-up, I tell you started with AR Rehman. Really he comes out with such weird music that for people of my age it is absolutely incomprehensible.

I just pine for the old black and white times when Guru Dutt and Wahida Rehman were slipping in and out of shadows while singing waqt ne kiya kya haseen sitam, tum rahe na tum, hum rahe na hum.
