HUDA Goes For New Sectors, More Development

Gurgaon: The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) will soon float Sector 51 in Gurgaon,
Sector 6 in Mansa Devi Complex, part-III of Sector-21 and Sector-12A in Panchkula, part-II of sector-3 in
Fatehabad and the Group Housing Scheme for the year
2002.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of HUDA said that development works would also be started in
the new sectors in various cities of the State which included Sectors-23, 27 and 28 in Panchkula, Sectors-20-A and B, 44 and 47 in Faridabad, Sectors-27, 51, 52 and  43 in Gurgaon, Sectors-1, 4, 9 and 11 in Hisar, Sector-2 in Bahadurgarh, Sectors 3 and 13 in Sonepat, Sectors-4 and 8 in Kurukshetra, Sector-14(P) in Karnal and Sectors-7,8 and 29 Part-II in Panipat .

The spokesman said that HUDA had also undertaken a number of new projects during the current year which
inlcuded 29 primary schools, 13 senior secondary schools, 16 dispensaries, 30 police posts, 5 police stations and 43 community centres. Besides this, a 200 bedded hospital would be constructed in Sector-10 of Gurgaon, auto-markets would be set up at Hansi, Bahadurgarh and Gurgaon, a crushing zone would be developed at Faridabad, a bus stand  would be set up at Karnal and roadways workshops would be set up at Ballabgarh and Rohtak.

He further said that other major activities and projects being implemented by HUDA included setting up
of major town level parks with special features in every town of the State. He informed that Town parks at Faridabad, Karnal, Hisar, Bhiwani, Panchkula, Gurgaon and Sonepat were being developed while work had been initiated on the parks in the cities of Panipat, Kurukshetra, Sonepat, Rohtak, Bahadurgarh and Rewari.  HUDA had also decided to develop parts  of Sectors-44 and 47 in Faridabad for setting up a Leisure Valley. This would consist of about 60 garden villa plots of 2000 sq. mts. and sites for recreation and commercial purposes.

The spokesman also informed that HUDA had floated approximately 69531 residential plots at Gurgaon, Panchkula, Faridabad, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Naraingarh, Karnal, Ambala, Gohana, Jind, Jagadhri, Palwal, Hansi, Hisar, Sonepat, Sirsa, Rewari, Dharuhera, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Fatehabad, Bhattu, Ratia, Dabwali, Bawani Khera,Ellenabad, Kalanwali, Pundri and Gulha Cheeka. Out of these, 6015 plots were for the economically weaker section.
