Gurgaon's New DC Admits the Glaring Contrast in the Old and New Gurgaon

Gurgaon: Gurgaon's worst kept secret is out!

Even Gurgaon's week-old DC has admitted that old Gurgaon, that is Gurgaon town, is very backward. Especially so if it is compared to ultra-mod DLF .

In his first ever conference since he took charge of Gurgaon, DC Anurag Rastogi confessed that NH-8 is more than just a soft and smooth highway. It divided a developed Gurgaon from a developing Gurgaon.

He said while Gurgaon town is more populated, it's development is not up to the expected levels. In contrast, the other side of 'border' is, more or less, a town-planner dream come true.

So why this partial distribution of development?

Accepting the role of administration in this glaring contrast, DC Rastogi said that it is also the responsibility of citizens to recognize their responsibility. He said that if we people themselves take steps for improving their town, there is no reason why the administration wont come to their fullest possible aid.

He said that people should also co-operate with the administration in regulating the chaotic traffic, and demolishing illegal constructions.

Knowing Gurgaonites as we do, this seems rather unlikely!
